How to convert from WATTS to KILOWATTS

Since 1 watt is equal to 0.001 kilowatts, we could say that n watts are equal to 0.001 times n kilowatts. In other words, we could use the following formula:

kilowatts = watts x 0.001

For example, let's say that we want to convert 2.0 watts to kilowatts. Then, we just replace watts in the abovementioned formula with 2.0:

kilowatts = 2.0 x 0.001

That is, 2.0 watts are equal to 0.002 kilowatts.
