How to convert from KILOWATTS to WATTS

Since 1 kilowatt is equal to 1000 watts, we could say that n kilowatts are equal to 1000 times n watts. In other words, we could use the following formula:

watts = kilowatts x 1000

For example, let's say that we want to convert 2.0 kilowatts to watts. Then, we just replace kilowatts in the abovementioned formula with 2.0:

watts = 2.0 x 1000

That is, 2.0 kilowatts are equal to 2000.0 watts.
