How to convert from AMPERES to KILOAMPERES

Since 1 ampere is equal to 0.001 kiloamperes, we could say that n amperes are equal to 0.001 times n kiloamperes. In other words, we could use the following formula:

kiloamperes = amperes x 0.001

For example, let's say that we want to convert 2.0 amperes to kiloamperes. Then, we just replace amperes in the abovementioned formula with 2.0:

kiloamperes = 2.0 x 0.001

That is, 2.0 amperes are equal to 0.002 kiloamperes.
