How to convert from STONES to TONNES

Since 1 stone is equal to 0.01 tonnes, we could say that n stones are equal to 0.01 times n tonnes. In other words, we could use the following formula:

tonnes = stones x 0.01

For example, let's say that we want to convert 2.0 stones to tonnes. Then, we just replace stones in the abovementioned formula with 2.0:

tonnes = 2.0 x 0.01

That is, 2.0 stones are equal to 0.01 tonnes.
