# Meters to Hectometers Conversion Table

 m  =  0.01 hm

# How to convert from Meters to Hectometers

Since 1 meter is equal to 0.01 hectometers, we could say that n meters are equal to 0.01 times n hectometers. In other words, we could use the following formula:

hectometers = meters x 0.01

For example, let's say that we want to convert 2 meters to hectometers. Then, we just replace meters in the abovementioned formula with 2:

hectometers = 2 x 0.01

That is, 2 meters are equal to 0.02 hectometers.
