How to convert from GRAMS to KILOGRAMS

Since 1 gram is equal to 0.001 kilograms, we could say that n grams are equal to 0.001 times n kilograms. In other words, we could use the following formula:

kilograms = grams x 0.001

For example, let's say that we want to convert 2.0 grams to kilograms. Then, we just replace grams in the abovementioned formula with 2.0:

kilograms = 2.0 x 0.001

That is, 2.0 grams are equal to 0.002 kilograms.
