Unlike unit conversions in other categories, converting temperature between Celsius (°C), Fahrenheit (°F), and Kelvin (K) involves using specific conversion formulas. Here are the basic formulas for converting between these temperature scales:

Celsius to Fahrenheit:

F = (9/5 × C) + 32

To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, multiply the Celsius temperature by 9/5 and add 32 to the result.

Fahrenheit to Celsius:

C = (5/9) × (F - 32)

To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit temperature and then multiply the result by 5/9.

Celsius to Kelvin:

K = C + 273.15

To convert Celsius to Kelvin, simply add 273.15 to the Celsius temperature.

Kelvin to Celsius:

C = K - 273.15

To convert Kelvin to Celsius, subtract 273.15 from the Kelvin temperature.

Converting Fahrenheit to Kelvin and vice versa involves combining the conversion formulas between Fahrenheit/Celsius and Celsius/Kelvin.

Fahrenheit to Kelvin:

K = (5/9 × (F - 32)) + 273.15

Kelvin to Fahrenheit:

F = (9/5 × (K - 273.15)) + 32
